Ride a bicycle - It is always good to exercise , reduce some of the bad emissions , and sometimes you even get to work faster because you will avoid all the traffic jams. Take your bicycle out of the garage , clean the dust of it , and give it a spin around the block. Use public transportation – The public transportation is very advanced in some parts of the country. Use it for your advantage. The time spend on the bus you can read a newspaper , write e-mail , or just admire the city. You can get to work faster and get more stuff accomplished on the way, instead of waiting in traffic. Choose a fuel efficient car- You do not have to drive a big truck , just because everyone has one. With a small economical car you will reduce your carbon footprint, you will save money from gas, and you will probably find parking much easier. Don't change your car often – To make a car around 4 tons of carbon dioxide are released into the atmosphere. Maintain your car and you will drive it for longer. When you have to buy a new car, try a used one. Carpool – Get to know your neighbors and co workers, there is a big possibility that you guys can share a car. If every car in the city was full , then the amount of cars will be much smaller. Choose the most Eco-friendly transportation – The airplanes are the biggest enemy of the environment , so on you next trip check if you can get to you destination with something else. The train is a very good way of transportation, it will consume the same amount of energy as a bus but it hold around 10 times more people. |
